Yes! We have a guest laundry with washing machine and dryer as well as an outdoor clothes line for guest use. These are provided free of charge including laundry capsules.

The Lodge & The House have their own, private laundries.

We have an incredible outdoor area for shared guest use, complete with BBQ's, outdoor furniture and games.

Check in is 3pm and check out is 10am. Where possible we love to offer early check in and late check out so please let us know if you would like these options and where possible, we’ll do it!

The Lodge, The House, Cottage, 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom Apartments all have full kitchens.

Studio 3 has a kitchen with cooktop only and Studio 1 & 2 have Kitchenettes.

There is also a shared kitchen space for guest use with basic cooking facilities:

Microwave: Fridge: Kitchenware: Benchtop Oven: Cook top: Air fryer. Kettle: Toaster.

Well trained, friendly dogs are welcome at The House as this is fully fenced, please read our full dog policy before booking to make sure you and your pet will be happy with us. Service dogs are of course always welcome in any of the Quarters.

Unfortunately our rooms are not wheelchair accessible.

Our main lodge is only accessible up one flight of stairs onto the equivalent of a second story building.

The Lodge has a few steps up to the first level and internal stairs to the second level.

The Fishermans Cottage is our most accessible unit for those with impaired mobility, please reach out if you would like any further clarification.

We understand that sometimes plans change unexpectedly — especially when it comes to outdoor adventures like the Tongariro Crossing. However, as a small business, we’re unable to absorb the costs of last-minute cancellations.

Please note that we do not offer refunds for cancellations due to weather conditions, including the Tongariro Crossing being closed or unsafe to walk. Unfortunately, the weather is beyond anyone’s control, and while we truly understand the disappointment, it’s not something we can take responsibility for.

Similarly, we’re unable to offer refunds for cancellations due to illness, travel disruptions, or any other unforeseen circumstances outside of our standard cancellation policy.

For direct bookings, if we are able to resell the room outside of the cancellation period then we will refund 50% of the room fee.

We strongly recommend that guests take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover unexpected changes to travel plans. This ensures you’re protected if things don’t go quite as planned — even if it’s through no one’s fault.

Yes. A supermarket, cafes, fuel station (with EV charging) and other essential services are just minutes away in Tūrangi, making it easy to stock up before heading out to explore the region.

We are the closest accommodation base in a full service town for the Tongariro Crossing.

Located just a short drive from the trailheads, Tūrangi is widely recognised as the gateway town to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Staying here means you can avoid the crowds and chaos of staying directly at the park while still being close enough for an early start with the convenience of a supermarket and shuttles just moments away.

We require a minimum two-night exclusive booking, allowing couples and their guests to enjoy the property together for a relaxed celebration weekend.

Our boutique accommodation creates a beautiful and intimate setting close to both the mountains and Lake Taupō.

The Quarters is approximately 40 minutes from the Whakapapa Ski Area and the Sky Waka Gondola.

This makes us a great base for winter ski trips while staying in the warmer lakeside climate of Tūrangi.
